All my maps were done with Campaign Cartographer 3 (CC3) by Profantasy, one of the oldest and best-known mapping programs available. Over the years, many useful add-ons have been released that make you capable of drawing nearly every type of map imagineable.
The home of first edition D&D is one of my favorite hangouts on the web since many years. The community is a favorite gathering place for many dedicated fans of our beloved game, and it is’s highly creative. Dragonsfoot Publishing has released a large number of adventure modules and supplements over the last ten years, as well as the eZine Footprints.
Black Blade Publishing is a small company, run by Jon Hershberger and Allan Grohe, that is dedicated to produce high-quality new material for old editions of the D&D game. The Secret of Smuggler’s Cove is a 1st edition conversion of the DCC module by Goodman Games of the same name, that was originally published for the d20 system. More products are in the make.
From North Wind Adventures, run by Jeffrey P. Talanian, comes the new roleplaying game ASTONISHING SWORDSMEN & SORCERERS OF HYPERBOREA™. Two modules for that game/setting are also available: Charnel Crypt of the Sightless Serpent™, and Taken from Dunwich™
Founded by the author of the old Judges Guild classic Inferno, Paul Elkmann, Spellbook Games is a company that published new material for adventuring in the nine circles of Hell. A remake of Inferno has been released in 2010, as well as sourcebooks to this topic. More products are in the pipeline.
Moritz Mehlem’s blog. Moritz is one of the driving forces behind the oldschool RPG renaissance in Germany. Without him and his unfailing dedication, a game like LABYRINTH LORDTM would be most likely still widely unknown in this country. Moritz has written quite a few adventures for the LABYRINTH LORDTM game system, the best-known among them the Larm chronicles: Larm, Dolm River, and Under Siege. On his regularly updated blog, you’ll find news about his current projects.
& Magazine is a fanzine dedicated to oldschool gaming, and to 1st edition AD&D in particular. The single issues are available as free downloads and are published every three or four months.
